The love of music started for me very young, I grew up in the 70 s & 80s and the earliest piece of music I remember hearing from my mums collection was "Ike & Tina Turners Working Together" album with the well known "Proud Mary" and also cover of the Beatles classic "Let It Be" ,but there was this one track '"Funkier Than a Mosquito's Tweeter" that really got me going at the mere age of 3 years old. My dad had the "Creedence Clearwater Revival" album which had their version of "Proud Mary" that he played anytime my mum wasn't playing her records .
A lot of 60s & 70s soul from mums collection was always played too. Motown, Stylistics, Dephonics etc, and very so often I would listen to my dad put on his collection, which was CCR, The Doors and, well thats it lol. All that said I still have those albums and do still play them.
Late 70's roll along and the music don't stop, now im listening to "BT Express Do It Till Your Satisfied" album. and "Ohio Players Honey" album. Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder, Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Supertramp. Then Boogie came along, Electro, Freestyle, Chicago House & Hip Hop. By 1984 I had a pretty good size collection collection of all genres and finally presenting on a station that allows me to share the sounds we all grew up with in my collection, and they will all be played from my originalvinyl collection.
ONE LUV !!
