Hi, Im Paul Huggett,
Im a Sussex based presenter. I may be a relative newcomer to radio, but im certainly no stranger to a microphone, the stage, a studio, or live presentation.
I have, as well as being a long-time bass player in various bands, singer and songwriter, worked as a trackside commentator at loads of motor sport events of various kinds, ranging from stock car racing to Rallycross, and also on TV in the early days of cable and satellite with the long-defunct Screen Sport channel on a wide range of motor racing disciplines.. Oh and I once did an interview with art expert Brian Sewell for BBC Radio 4, about racing – another story!
My musical tastes are wide-ranging to say the least, from Rock to Folk, to Soul, Psychedelia, Blues and pure power Pop, and from Amy McDonald to the Zutons, and Dr.Feelgood to Dr.Hook. As a man with two left feet, however, dance grooves leave me standing….. I have recently been working on my local hospital and online radio station CHR, presenting a recorded show of my own.
My new Oldies Online Tuesday show, "Paul Huggett’s Golden Nuggets", will be as eclectic as my musical interests, with some very famous names – but not always playing their most obvious songs, and some that may be under your own radar that you just need to hear!
